JOELTON, Tenn. — Anglers visiting Marrowbone Lake in Davidson County will notice some operational changes. The lake’s concessionaire is no longer in service, and as a result, boat rentals are currently unavailable until further notice.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. --- A major river restoration project is set to begin in October, as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), The Nature Conservancy (TNC), and partners break ground on the removal of Harm’s Mill Dam, a key step toward restoring the natural flow of the Elk River. Access to the site will be closed to the public beginning Oct. 13, 2025, until completion of the restoration project.
