Browns Creek Lake Closed for Parking Renovations

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.-- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is temporarily closing Browns Creek Lake and Browns Lake Road in Natchez Trace State Park for parking renovation of the area beginning Oct. 19 through Oct. 30, 2026. 

Please note that these dates are tentative and may change due to weather conditions or supply delays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause visitors. The closure is necessary for public and worker safety. During this time, crews will be preparing the area to expand parking capacity.

TWRA will announce when work is complete and the area reopens. Direct all questions to Nathan Warden at the TWRA Region I Office at 731-423-5725.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for protecting, managing, and conserving fish and wildlife species for the benefit of Tennesseans and visitors. The Agency also maintains public safety through law enforcement and safety education on waterways.
