Temporary Parking Limitations at Two Access Ramps on Hiwassee River
CROSSVILLE, Tenn.---Boat ramps at the 411 Bridge and Patty Bridge on the Hiwassee River will remain open with limited parking during an improvement project taking place at each location. Construction will start on Monday, Aug.31.
The improvement projects include two new dock systems installed at the 411 Bridge, including a courtesy dock and an adaptive, ADA-compliant paddle craft launch. Patty Bridge will receive an ADA paddle craft launch. Construction is expected to last 45 days, depending on weather.
This improvement project is a partnership between the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and BluewaysTN, an initiative that supports and enhances recreational waterways across the state. Although boat ramps will remain open, boaters can find other access points on the Hiwassee River by visiting the TWRA boating and fishing access maps page.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for protecting, managing, and conserving fish and wildlife species for the benefit of Tennesseans and visitors. The Agency also maintains public safety through law enforcement and safety education on waterways.
