Memphis ITS Architecture

The Memphis Urban Area Regional ITS Architecture and Deployment Plan provides a long-range plan for the deployment, integration, and operation of ITS in the Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Region. The plan was led by the Memphis Urban Area MPO in coordination with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

The regional boundaries of the Memphis Urban Area Regional ITS Architecture were defined as Shelby County in Tennessee, DeSoto County in Mississippi, the western portion of Fayette County in Tennessee, and the northwest portion of Marshall County in Mississippi. Also considered within the Memphis MPO Region are TDOT’s SmartWay ITS deployments along I-40 and I-55 in Crittenden County, Arkansas
