Lakeway Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architecture and Deployment Plan
Overview
TThe Lakeway Regional ITS Architecture and Deployment Plan provides long-range guidance for deploying, integrating, and operating ITS across the Lakeway Region.
Project lead and timeline
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) led the plan update with the Lakeway Area Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (LAMTPO).
The update was completed in summer 2017.
Region covered
he plan covers Hamblen County and Jefferson County in East Tennessee.
Stakeholders represented the following transportation and public service areas:
- Traffic operations
- Public transit
- Emergency management
- Public safety
- Local, state, and federal agencies
How input was gathered
TDOT and LAMTPO held two stakeholder workshops and conducted interviews with stakeholder agencies.
These activities collected feedback and guidance for the plan.
