The Field Operations and Maintenance Bureau ensures safe and reliable operation of Tennessee’s transportation system. It supports TDOT by overseeing statewide maintenance, traffic operations, construction oversight and support functions, and incident response through the Department’s four regions, enabling consistent and efficient service to the traveling public. Housed within this bureau are the Construction, Maintenance, Materials and Tests, Regional Operations (Regions 1–4), Occupational Health and Safety, and Traffic Operations divisions.
