To strengthen collaboration and effectively fight food insecurity, the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) is hosting a virtual Summer Summit for current Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) partners (sponsors) and community organizations who are interested in partnering to address this serious issue. The SFSP works with sponsors and partners to provide and distribute healthy meals to school-age children in Tennessee who face food insecurity during summer months.
Current and potential sponsor organizations are invited to attend the Summer Summit on January 26, 2023. The event brings together TDHS, the Tennessee Department of Education, the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service, food program sponsors, and thought leaders to discuss opportunities, plans, and preparation to provide meals to children during the summer months.
