Bobwhite Quail Hunts
Bobwhite Quail hunt application period: September 3-24, 2025.
Applicants must be at least 6 years of age or older. Applicants can apply individually or with a party of up to 3 members. There can be no more than 2 youth hunters (16 years of age or younger) per party.
General Application. Party and Draw Instructions can be found on the Quota Hunt webpage. You may apply via GoOutDoorsTennessee, the On The Go APP, at a TWRA Licensed Agent, or at a Regional Office.
Bobwhite Quail Quota Hunt Specifics
- Applicants must be at least 6 years old by the date of the hunt.
- There are no priority points.
- No more than 3 people may be participate in the hunt. If drawn, applicants may choose to alter their party, or bring additional hunters (not to exceed a party of 3) up until check-in at the Wildlife Management Area, the day of the hunt.
- No more than 2 youth hunters (16 years of age or younger) per party.
- Hunters are encouraged to bring hunting dogs to increase the chances of success.
Hunt Choices
Weapon Type (WT) - the letter that represents the hunting device allowed on the hunt. All quail hunts listed are shotgun (S) hunts. Check the Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide for more information. Date - the date of the specific hunt choice. Quota - the number of permits that can be issued for the specific hunt choice. One party will be drawn for each hunt listed. Limit - the bag limit per person for the duration of the specific hunt choice.
