Region 4 Bridges

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is committed to maintaining a state of good repair for the over 8,000 bridges on the State Highway Network. These bridges include bridges on or over the Interstate Highway System, the State Route Highway System, and miscellaneous highway bridges, such as those in State Parks. Each bridge in Tennessee, including Off-System bridges owned and maintained by local governments, is inspected at least every two years by TDOT and rated based on the condition of its deck, superstructure and substructure. Funding for bridge repairs, replacements, and rehabilitations is allocated each year based on a combination of condition and need through TDOT’s Bridge Program.

Bridge projects that are actively affecting traffic will be noted on TDOT SmartWay.
