Wattendorf Memorial Highway: Bridge over Interstate 24

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) plans to replace the Wattendorf Memorial Highway bridge over Interstate 24 at Exit 117 in Coffee County. The project, which will replace the existing bridge with a new, two-lane bridge with shoulders on each side, was initially identified as part of the IMPROVE Act. As part of the project, TDOT plans to make improvements to the existing ramps at Exit 117.

Current Status: Under construction.

Construction start: Spring 2025

Estimated completion*: Spring 2027

Funding Type: This project is funded in part through the Transportation Modernization Fund.
