A Tennessee National Guard Soldier was one of only four Soldiers selected nationwide to participate in the Future Vertical Lift Program study in San Jose, Calif., in mid-March of 2018. This is a maneuverability study in conjunction with ongoing Joint Multi-role Technology Demonstrator efforts.

More than 475 Tennessee National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from across the state supported recovery operations in Florida in September. At the same time, nearly 230 more were supporting the U.S. Virgin Islands.
