About the Child Support and the Paternity Program at the Tennessee Department of Human Services.

Child Support Services at the Tennessee Department of Human Services help ensure Tennessee children have the resources and support they need to be well. The Child Support Paternity Program focuses on helping Tennessee families establish a legal record of paternity (fatherhood) through the Tennessee Acknowledgement of Paternity Program (TNVAoP) Process. Having a legal record of fatherhood helps ensure the child has access to the care they need. Learn more on the Paternity Program webpage.
