The Tennessee Department of Human Services is looking for organizations to join the fight against food insecurity in our state. Held in Nashville, the annual Summer Summit brings together the Tennessee Department of Human Services, Tennessee Department of Education, United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service, food program sponsors, community organizations, and national, state, and local thought leaders on food insecurity and food access. During the Summit, participants and attendees will focus on how the  Sun Meals program will provide nutrition to school-age children during the 2025 summer months when school meals are unavailable.

Register to attend this free event for Tennessee organizations.

The Sun Meals (Summer Food Service Program) is administered by TDHS and made possible through partnerships with community organizations that sponsor and provide meals using funding available through the USDA. The Summit is a great opportunity for community organizations and nonprofits to learn about sponsorship and join the fight against hunger.
