The 2024 CARES Conference is a 2-day event that brings together nationally recognized experts and trainers from around the country who are focused on addressing challenges among aging and vulnerable adults in the 21st century. Law enforcement, district attorneys, service providers , health care workers, Adult Protective Service practitioners, and other professionals who serve older and vulnerable adults in Tennessee are invited to the 2024 Center on Aging Research and Education Services (CARES) Conference.

About the Hosts  
The 2024 CARES Conference is made possible through a partnership between the Adult Protective Services Unit at the Tennessee Department of Human Services and Tennessee State University, College of Public Service Center on Aging Research and Education Services (CARES).
 
Adult Protective Services Program at the Tennessee Department of Human Services
The Adult Protective Services Unit is responsible for investigating reports of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of adults who are unable to protect themselves due to a physical or mental limitation. APS staff assess the need for protective services and provide services to reduce the identified risk to the adult. To learn more, click here.  

  
The Center on Aging Research and Education Services (CARES) at the Tennessee State University College of Public Service
Established in 1989, the purpose of the Center on Aging at CPSUA is to address the needs of a vulnerable population to include providing an annual Elder Abuse Institute. To
