The Vocational Rehabilitation Team understands making the transition to adult life and work can be a challenge and is hosting a 10-week program to support youth between ages 16 and 21 who are exiting foster care.

 

During weekly sessions, students will focus on topics and resources that build independence and job readiness:

  • Life Skills
  • Communication/Self-Advocacy
  • Financial Literacy 
  • Meal Planning           
  • Problem-Solving
  • Job Search and Applications
  • Internships Opportunities
  • Resource Fairs

Program Dates and Schedule:

Orientation: Tuesday, March 26, 2024 

Drop-in between 4:00 pm-6:00 pm EST

 Class Schedule: Each Tuesday, April 2, 2024-June 4, 2024

5:00 pm-6:30 pm EST (dinner will be provided)

 To participate, register with your Vocational Rehabilitation Case Manager or representative by March 15, 2024
