TDHS Child Care Services Program will conduct four (4) public hearings to collect comment on the proposed Child Care and Development Fund Plan to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families for funding the Federal Fiscal Years 2019-2021.

The Child Care and Development Fund provides funding to state programs that offer assistance to families with low-income through subsidized child care, activities and services to improve the quality and availability of child care, and the regulation of child care agencies throughout the state.  Services are provided either directly by the state or through contracts with local governments and non-profit agencies.

Comments on the proposal will be accepted until close of business on June 8, 2018 by either letter or e-mail at ChildCareServices.DHS@tn.gov.  The working draft of the proposed CCDF Plan is available at:  https://www.tn.gov/humanservices/for-families/child-care-services.html .

Any individual with a disability who wishes to participate in a public meeting should contact DHS in person, in writing, or by telephone at least 10 days prior to the public meeting date to discuss any auxiliary aids or services needed to facilitate such participation.
