Mission and Vision:

TEACHReadyTN empowers districts across Tennessee to grow and sustain strong educator pipelines through high-quality resources, support, and locally driven solutions. The vision of the initiative is to ensure that every Tennessee district has the tools and strategies needed to recruit, develop, and retain excellent educators through innovative approaches to mentorship, staffing, compensation, and apprenticeship pathways.

Overview of the Human Capital Technical Assistance Hub:

TEACHReadyTN serves as Tennessee’s Human Capital Technical Assistance Hub, providing centralized resources, technical assistance, and partnership support to districts, Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs), and state partners. Through this hub, the initiative advances Tennessee’s human capital priorities—ensuring every student has access to well-prepared, supported, and effective educators. Built around seven core pillars—Strategic Staffing, EPP Partnerships and Support, Mentorship, Educator Recruitment, Educator Pipeline, Educator Retention, and Differentiated Compensation—the hub drives innovative, statewide strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-quality educators.

Partner Information:

The department is partnered with the National Center for Grow Your Own (NCGYO), to support the implementation of TEACHReadyTN and serving as the intermediary for Tennessee’s Registered Educator Apprenticeship Programs. Together, these efforts align recruitment, preparation, and retention strategies to build a sustainable, future-ready educator workforce.
