Accountability and Data Reporting
The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act is an integral piece of U.S. federal legislation aimed at improving the quality of CTE programming and preparing students for their postsecondary goals. In 2018, the Perkins V reauthorization emphasized the alignment of CTE programs with local economic and workforce needs. Tennessee revised its state plan in 2024 and has aligned Perkins reporting and applications for funding in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education.
