Assistant Commissioner Michael Burnette joins the Department following seven (7) years of serving Cookeville Regional Medical Center as a department head where he gained considerable experience in leadership, project management, process mapping, and the use of LEAN skills in improving efficiency and reducing waste. Assistant Commissioner Burnette has twenty-five (25) years of law enforcement experience ending his career with TBI in 2015 where he primarily investigated multi-jurisdictional drug organizations.
