What's New For 2025 – 2026

There are several important changes for the 2025–2026 hunting and trapping seasons.

Deer & Turkey Hunting

• New deer and turkey management units were adopted last year.

• No change to deer and turkey bag limits

Bear Hunting

• Date changes for Bear Hunt Zone 2

Blaze Pink

• Meets "hunter orange" requirement

Public Hunting Areas

• Scotts Gulf Centennial Wilderness

• Wolf River State Forest

WMA Properties

• New blaze orange/pink requirements for small game hunters on WMAs

• Hunting from a blind - New blaze orange/pink requirements

Waterfowl Seasons

• No September teal-only days

• Northern Pintails daily bag increased to 3

• Goose hunting opportunity increased
