February 9: Willean Hastings

Willeen W. Hastings, Chief Executive Officer of the Memphis Health Center, Inc. has more than 35 years of experience as a healthcare expert and administrator. She provides executive immediate leadership to over 100 employees, improving finance, operational and clinical performance by enhancing the stability and integrity at the Memphis Health Center. 

Hastings began her career in the healthcare industry at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare, Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee as an Administrative Director from 1986 to 1999. She also served as an Associate Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer from 1999-2005 at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare, Methodist Hospital in Memphis from 1999-2005. She was then promoted to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer in 2005-2007.

B. E. Smith, Inc. hired her as a top healthcare executive consultant, where she provided leadership and management solutions at conferences and workshops across the country. She received a diploma of Nursing in 1977 from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing; a B. S.degree in Nursing from the University of Memphis; and a Master's of Science in Health Services Administration in 1996 from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL.
