Aging in Place: Safety and Prevention

Aging in place is a term used to describe a person living in the residence of their choice, for as long as they are able, as they age. To do that successfully, it's important to keep in mind a number of safety and prevention categories, including: fall prevention, fire safety, and general safety.

According to the National Council on Aging, one in three adults over the age of 65 who live at home fall each year. By the age of 80, this number increases to one in two.
