TWRA Honor Guard Trains with UT ROTC Dragoons

Members of the TWRA Honor Guard participated in a two-day training session at the John Sevier Range alongside the University of Tennessee ROTC Dragoons. The training focused on refining ceremonial procedures, including 2, 3, and 6-person flag folding details, firing party protocols, and color presentation techniques.

The UT Dragoons, who regularly present the Colors at UT football games and basketball games, led portions of the training and shared their expertise in drill and ceremony. Thanks go to the UT ROTC cadets who volunteered their time and leadership. The TWRA Honor Guard is composed of dedicated volunteers from across the state who represent the agency with pride and professionalism. In addition to participating in ceremonial events, the team honors current and former TWRA commissioned employees at funerals and responds to requests to present the colors at special occasions.
