Cheatham Lake WMA Workday Benefits Wood Duck Habitat Cheatham Lake WMA Manager Mark Vance organized a group of volunteers and staff at the WMA for a day in April dedicated to improving local wildlife habitat.
Members of the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, along with local residents, teamed with TWRA personnel to install 12 wood duck boxes to increase available nesting habitat across the area of more than 5,100 acres.
Plans are already underway for another workday later this spring to add more boxes.
