TWRA Hosts Annual NASP State Championships
TWRA staff played a large part in hosting another successful Tennessee National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) State Championships held at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro. It was the 17th year for TWRA hosting the event and the 14th time in Murfreesboro.
Close to 1,900 participants representing 97 schools participated in the three-day tournament. TWRA staff assisted with the scoring, the range setup, and breaking down the range at the tournament’s conclusion.
There were three age divisions for elementary, middle, and high school participants. Awards were presented to the top teams and individual finishers in each division at the championships’ conclusion on Friday evening. Central Magnet High School, Blackman Middle School, and Christiana Elementary School won titles in their respective divisions. The winners and individuals who qualify advance to the national tournament in Louisville, Kentucky.
