WHITE PINE, Tenn. — Leadvale Access Area on Douglas Lake is temporarily closed to the public as crews work to repair damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The access area, which serves as a popular entry point for boating and fishing, sustained significant structural impacts during the storm.

Engineering crews have begun assessment and repair work, which includes ramp repair, stabilizing shoreline infrastructure, and restoring safe access for visitors. Current projections indicate that repairs will continue through the end of February, weather permitting.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for protecting, managing, and conserving fish and wildlife species for the benefit of Tennesseans and visitors. The Agency also maintains public safety through law enforcement and safety education on waterways.
