Leadvale Access Area Update
WHITE PINE, Tenn. — Leadvale Access Area on Douglas Lake has temporarily reopened to provide public water access while crews await materials needed to finish repairs from Hurricane Helene. Once the remaining material arrives, the access area will need to close again for approximately one week so crews can complete work to restore safe, long‑term access.
Engineering crews began assessment and repair work earlier in the year, which included ramp repair, stabilizing shoreline infrastructure, and restoring safe access for visitors.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for protecting, managing, and conserving fish and wildlife species for the benefit of Tennesseans and visitors. The Agency also maintains public safety through law enforcement and safety education on waterways.
