From its beginnings in Warroad, Minnesota, to its expansion into new markets like Memphis, Tennessee, Marvin has stayed true to one mission — to imagine and create better ways of living.

When Marvin began growing its operations in the Greater Memphis area, the company faced a challenge shared by many employers: how to recruit, train, and retain skilled talent while maintaining its high standards of quality and service.

That’s where the Greater Memphis Workforce Development Board stepped in. Through the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program, Marvin found a partner equally dedicated to investing in people and strengthening communities.

The OJT Program provided Marvin with a strategic way to build its workforce from within — giving local job seekers hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing and quality craftsmanship. Two participants were enrolled in the program, where they received technical training, mentorship, and professional development directly aligned with Marvin’s culture of excellence.

The results were a true win-win. Both participants successfully completed the program and continue to thrive as full-time members of the Marvin team. Their growth reflects the company’s belief that when businesses invest in people, communities grow stronger.

The success of this collaboration inspired Marvin to renew its OJT contract for the 2025–2026 program year, reaffirming its long-term commitment to workforce development and regional partnership.
