School Approval Applications for Veterans Education Benefits

Application for approval of programs at organizations within the state of Tennessee to use Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits.

NOTE: when submitting catalogs/handbooks for approval use the appropriate tab/form(s). Submit through link at the bottom of the tab.

For a Re-Approval go to either Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) Facility or Non-College Degree (NCD) Facility.  

For an Approval Modification go to Approval Modification.

A Full Re-Approval requires that the school submit their most current catalog(s) along with the completed VA Form 22-10287 in its entirety.  All programs on the WEAMs form must be listed on the TN-SAA Program Submission List for continued programs or programs to be withdrawn.  All new programs should be signified as such.  The Full Re-Approval must be submitted every 36 months.

For IHL schools, fill out the following forms and submit at link at bottom:

Submit all forms through the Catalog Application Submission link  

A Full Re-Approval requires that the school submit their most current catalog(s) along with the completed VA Form 22-10288 in its entirety.  All programs on the WEAMs form must be listed on the TN-SAA Program Submission List for continued programs or programs to be withdrawn.  All new programs should be signified as such.  The Full Re-Approval must be submitted every 36 months.

For NCD schools, fill out the following forms and submit at link at bottom:

Submit all forms through the Catalog Application Submission link  

Only complete a Catalog Modification IF there are any changes to the program(s), catalog, or other items that would change the student certifications. This is NOT used for a 24-month reapproval.

An Approval Modification application is required when a new course catalog is published, policy changes have been made or programs are added, withdrawn or modified.

All facilities submit Catalog Modifications through the Catalog Modification Submission Link .
