Public Hearing Set on Social Services Block Grant Application

WHAT:                 A public hearing to offer comments on Tennessee’s Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) Application has been scheduled for August 15, 2018. MORE:                  SSBG is 100 percent federally funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  The program, available in all 95 Tennessee    counties and administered through contracts with a network of nonprofit and government agencies provides funding for eligible citizens for various programs, including adult daycare and homemaker services.  Services are limited to low-income elderly and disabled adults.
