Maury County Teacher Leader Model

In Maury County, student success is measured against the Maury County Public Schools (MCPS) Keys of College and Career Readiness. Success in each key is tied to student growth and performance in district- and school-identified instructional initiatives. Teacher leaders are necessary to act as “key” points of contact for these initiatives. They serve as trusted experts in these initiatives and a first point of contact for teachers and administrators alike. Through this expertise, they act as a "key" influence on success at every level—student, teacher, administrator, and school.
