Take a 30-minute time out to focus on your own health and well-being! You will get 30 minutes of training credit, and we will have different wellness topics each week.

Fit In Fitness

Every week, there are opportunities for you to join a livestreamed fitness break. Cameras are never required. You’re encouraged to try each workout; no commitment required.

This class is brought to you by the Department of Human Services Wellness Council. No special attire or equipment is needed.

Give your body a break with the Department of Children’s Services Wellness Council on Microsoft Teams! You can expect a livestreamed workout video handpicked by DCS Wellness Council members.

Equipment needed varies from none to light/medium hand weights.

Let’s step it up this March!

Let's March Challenge

The DCS Wellness Council is inviting you to walk more in March! This challenge runs Monday, March 4 - Sunday, March 31. Throughout the challenge, keep track of your own steps each day. Participants can submit their total challenge steps by Wednesday, April 3 for a chance to win a wellness prize. The top five steppers and an additional five prize winners will be chosen!

Employee Spirit Month

We’ve got spirit, how ‘bout you?! During March, tag us in your posts on Facebook (@WFHTN) or Instagram (@workingforahealthiertn) for a chance to win a prize! We’ll have a different theme each week. Set your posts to the “public” setting so we’ll be able to see and reshare them. Not on social media or prefer not to tag us? Email your photo(s) to WFHT.TN@tn.gov to be shared. Winners will be announced on April 1.

Lean Meals Challenge

Join the Healthy Plate Challenge from Sharecare!

In March, challenge yourself to eat well-balanced meals every day. A well-balanced nutrition plan includes fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, whole grains and plant or lean animal protein.
 
 Goal: Update your nutrition tracker for at least 21 days from March 1, 2024 – March 31, 2024, to meet the challenge goal.
 
 To participate:

  1. Log in to your Sharecare account or register at stateoftn.sharecare.com.
  2. Find Challenges under the Achieve icon.
  3. Look for the Healthy Plate Nutrition Challenge and click Join.
  4. Track your diet at least 21 days from March 1 to March 31.
