Directions and Description
Directions: From Jackson, Tennessee, take Highway 45 Bypass south, and turn onto Perry Switch Road, after 4.5 miles, there will be a gravel parking lot on the left. Look for the WMA sign. Lat. 35.55828 N, Long. -88.74585 W
The WMA is open year-round during daylight hours; please note hunting seasons. License fees may apply.

Description: This Madison County WMA consists of 210 acres of early and late successional bottomland forest. The South Fork Forked Deer River runs through the center of this area, offering frequent flooding and constant diversity across the area. This area provides excellent habitat for woodland birds. Wood Ducks are common breeding birds in the summer.

Big Game, Small Game, and Trapping - Same as statewide seasons, except as noted below. Closed to Fall turkey hunting.
Spring Turkey - April 3-25, 2027. One (1) male bearded turkey, counts toward the statewide bag limit.
Spring Turkey (Young Sportsman) - Same as statewide season.
