Site Direction:  Take HWY 64 in Polk County Tennessee, turn onto HWY 411 south, turn West onto Curbow Bridge Road, and turn north onto Wheeler Road the Southwest parking area is on the left by the WMA sign.  Lat/Long GPS: 35.10528, -84.74629

The WMA is open year-round during daylight hours, with access dependent on hunting seasons.   License fees may apply.

Charlotte Ann Finnell Neal is a 495-acre Wildlife Management Area, located in the Valley and Ridge portion of southeast Tennessee, in Bradley and Polk Counties.  The area is highlighted by areas of mature forest, recently harvested early successional woodland, and an area of wetland off HWY 411.

Regulations & Dates


The use of motorized vehicles is prohibited.

Big Game, Turkey, and Trapping same as statewide seasons except as noted.

Deer - closes on Dec. 9, 2024.  Archery equipment is only for deer hunting.

Small Game - Dec. 14, 2024 - last day of Feb. 2025, except as noted.

Squirrel  - opens from Aug. 24 - Sept. 27, 2024, and during spring squirrel season.

Dogs - are not permitted during spring squirrel season.

Quail - Nov. 2, 2024 - Jan. 15, 2025.

Dog Training - Sept. 1, 2024 - March 15, 2025.
