Directions and Description

Site Directions: From Interstate I-40 take exit 320 onto Genesis Road Highway 298 and travel north 7.5 miles, then turn left onto Potato Farm Road and travel west 5.6 miles, then turn right onto Cold Springs Road and travel .5 miles onto Cold Springs Road and the property will be on your left or to the west. Access gate GPS coordinates Lat-Long 36.1172535, -85.0175721) This property lies between No Business Creek to the west and northwest and Cold Springs Road to the east. 

The Refuge is open year-round during daylight hours, with access dependent on hunting seasons.   License fees may apply.

Site Description: Catoosa Ridge refuge is approximately 1,630-acre parcel comprised of nearly 700-acres of early successional vegetation. The remainder of the property is comprised of mature hardwood drains and steep ravines. Small game management, particularly northern bobwhite, is the primary focus for the field management on this unit.  


Regulations & Dates

Closed to all users during Catoosa WMA quota hunts. The use of motorized vehicles is not permitted.

Small Game - Same as statewide seasons, except as noted. Begins on 1st Saturday in December 2025 and closes at sunset the night before and during Catoosa WMA quota hunts.  Closed to quail hunting.  

Rabbit and Woodcock - Hunting and dog training open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday only. Begals and pointing breeds only.

Trapping - Dec. 15, 2025 – last day of Feb 2026.
