Flintville WMA, Agricultural Revenue Lease Bid Notice

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency announces the intention to award a Revenue Lease on agricultural parcels in Lincoln County on Flintville WMA for the term of 5 years.  The agricultural areas to be leased consist of 20 acres, Farm Service Number 7253 Tract 7380.  Bids will be accepted from November 01, 2025, to November 30, 2025.  Submitted bids will be opened at 10:00 am on December 01, 2025, at the Flintville Hatchery office.  To receive an invitation to bid or for more information on this leasing program, contact  Steven Day of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency at  615-981-9321.

Comment Period for Memorial Namings

At its August Commission Meeting, the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission voted to begin their review process relative to two proposed memorial namings submitted by members of the public. Item Number 1:

TWRA Boat Launch Access, Howard Bridge Road (Maury County) to be named after Edward and Nancy Penrod for their many years of multifaceted efforts and dedication to conservation in the State of Tennessee

·  Founders of “Friends of the Duck River”

·  Instrumental in the development of the Yanalhi Wildlife Management Area.

Item Number 2:

TWRA Boat Launch Access, Elk River at Veto Road (Giles County), to be named after Paul Edgmon.  Mr. Edgemon was very active as a sportsman, a dedicated turkey hunter, and very engaged in his local community, and instrumental in the fact that this is a TWRA access area, which was the county’s very first boat ramp/access area.
