2026 Governor's Schools
The Tennessee Governor's Schools provide eleven challenging and high-intensity programs for rising 11th and 12th grade students nominated by high school faculty. Each school offers a unique learning environment for students interested in the arts, humanities, agriculture science, STEM programs, advanced mathematics, physics, leadership, international studies, Tennessee history, or potential teaching careers. Students interested in participating in a Governor's School should obtain the application from a high school administrator, school counselor, or other faculty member. Applications, submission information, and critical deadlines will be posted on the webpages of each individual Governor’s Schools site.
Application Format Update
We are pleased to announce the new Tennessee Governor's School Unified Application. To streamline the application process, this single-point-of-entry portal will allow applicants to enter all their information, and upload all necessary documentation, as a single entry for one or multiple schools. Instructions for how to complete each section will be provided in the unified application.

Note: Integration of Biology and Statistical Sciences, Tennessee History and Environmental Studies, and Science and Engineering will be using an additional application link that will be embedded into the unified application. The links to those applications will become available when the schools are selected.
