TBI In Your Community

"This is what good government looks like."

Scammers are constantly looking for new ways to target older adults, but a new partnership between the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging, and local community organizations is helping put trusted information directly into the hands of seniors across our state.

In a new pilot program, meal delivery recipients in the Knoxville area are the first to receive magnets and resource cards filled with practical, common-sense tips to help recognize scams, protect personal information, and know where to turn for help.

It's a simple idea with a meaningful impact, and a reminder that public service often happens through partnerships, prevention, and people who care deeply about their communities.

Public service is rarely loud. More often, it is quiet, deliberate, and unseen.

At the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, much of our work begins long before a crisis reaches the public eye, and continues long after the headlines fade. It happens in laboratories and classrooms, in briefing rooms and field offices, through careful preparation and disciplined follow-through. This is work driven not by recognition, but by responsibility.

It's a career, and a calling. And if you're driven, principled, and eager to make a difference, there may just be a place for you.
