Basic Safety and Health - Full Day

This seminar reviews key OSHA safety and health topics, including exit routes, emergency action and fire prevention plans, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, and respiratory protection. Participants gain foundational knowledge to help recognize hazards and apply essential safety practices.

Basic Safety for Utilities - Full Day

This seminar focuses on essential safety topics for utility operations, including confined spaces, trenching and excavation, PPE, walking-working surfaces, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and commonly cited standards in the utility industry.

Forklift and Warehouse Safety - Full Day

This seminar covers common warehouse hazards, including powered industrial trucks, material handling, lifting, hazard communication, walking-working surfaces, and fire protection and evacuation. Intended for warehouse workers, supervisors, and employers responsible for safe work practices.

Maintenance Related Standards - Full Day

This seminar provides an overview of TOSHA’s most commonly cited maintenance-related hazards, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety, confined spaces, health hazards, and key emergency requirements. Participants learn how to identify and correct violations, protect workers from hazardous energy and machinery, and strengthen overall workplace safety programs.

OSHA 30-Hour for General Industry - 4 Days

This course provides a comprehensive overview of OSHA requirements and common workplace hazards found in general industry. Participants learn how to identify, avoid, and prevent safety and health risks while gaining a deeper understanding of OSHA standards, worker rights, and employer responsibilities. Completion of the course results in an official OSHA 30-Hour card.

Recordkeeping - Half Day

This class will review OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including completion and maintenance of the OSHA 300 Log, injury and illness reporting requirements, and electronic submission requirements.

Health Hazards in Industry - Full Day

This class covers key health-related topics, including bloodborne pathogens, GHS/hazard communication, personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, occupational noise exposure, and TOSHA’s most frequently cited standards in general industry.

September 23: Murfreesboro - TAUD

Understanding TOSHA: Our Inspection Process, Common Citations, and Consultative Services - Half Day

This seminar provides an overview of the TOSHA inspection process, highlights common violations in general industry, and reviews recent workplace fatalities in Tennessee. The session also includes an overview of TOSHA’s free Consultative Services program, along with dedicated time for participants to engage directly with TOSHA staff and ask questions.
