SARA Annual Renewal and Fee Payments

SARA Annual Requirements Beginning July 1, 2025

SARA Renewal Process (90 days to complete)

STEP 1 - Institution renewal period opens (Day 1)

STEP 2 -  Institution submits renewal application to State Portal Entity (SPE)

STEP 3 - If approved, the institution receives invoice and payment link from NC-SARA

STEP 4 - Institution remits payment to NC-SARA

STEP 5 - NC-SARA confirms payment, sends confirmation information to institution (Day 90)

TN-SARA Fee Payment

STEP 1 - On or about Oct 1,  institutions will receive payment info for TN-SARA fee due by Dec 1

STEP 2 - By Dec 1 Institution remits fee to TN-SARA SPE
