TENNESSEE CITIZENS IMPACTED BY TORNADOES CAN APPLY FOR DUPLICATE LICENSE

NASHVILLE – In an effort to help citizens directly impacted by the devastating tornadoes across the state, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s (TDOSHS) Driver Services division has deployed its two mobile units to issue duplicate or photo identification licenses. Fees for duplicate or photo identification licenses will be waived. Citizens can also visit any Driver Services Center in person if it is more convenient.

The department’s mobile units will be deployed at the following locations starting on Wednesday March 4. Future dates and locations will be determined based on need. Duplicate licenses only will be issued to those directly impacted by the tornadoes. No other services will be issued from the mobile units during this time.

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (TDCI) is also set up at Centennial Sports Plex to help residents impacted by the tornadoes. Citizens can ask TDCI questions about their policies and their coverage. Major insurance carriers will be in attendance also for people to make claims in person. They are also assisting citizens at the Wilson County EMA Center (110 Oak Street in Lebanon) and the Putnam County 911 Center (700 County Services Drive in Cookeville).
