Can ownership transfers still occur with ELT titles?

Yes. ELT does not prevent sales, transfers, or refinances.

What happens when a lien is satisfied?

The lien is released electronically and the title may remain electronic or be printed.

Will I automatically receive a paper title when my loan is paid off?

No. You will need to request a printed title.

How do I obtain a paper title after my loan is paid off?

Use the title print process (no fee) or contact your county clerk. If a title is obtained from the county clerk there will be a title fee associated with the transaction.
