Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)

The Health Facilities Commission administers the certification of laboratory programs within Tennessee in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). This program is regulated for compliance under guidelines set forth in Federal Regulations 42 CFR Parts §493.1 through §493.1850.
