Auntney Hollow	Lewis	Auntney Hollow is a 26-acre natural area in Lewis County. This natural area supports one of only seven populations of the federally and state endangered Tennessee yellow-eyed grass found in Tennessee.
Barnett's Woods and Prairie	Montgomery	Barnett's Woods is a 40-acre natural area in Montgomery County located approximately 16 miles west of Clarksville on the Western Highland Rim.
Beaman Park	Davidson	Beaman Park is a 1,678 acre natural area in northwestern Davidson County approximately 15 miles from downtown Nashville near Joelton. The topography consists of ridges and hollows supporting forest vegetation that is characteristic of the Western Highland Rim.
Devil's Backbone	Lewis	Devil's Backbone is a 950-acre natural area in Lewis County. It offers visitors the opportunity for a quiet hike adjacent the Natchez Trace Parkway. The trail follows the ridges of Tennessee's Highland Rim and drops down along a creek into a hollow and back again along the ridge.
Dry Branch	Hickman, Lewis, Perry	Dry Branch is 2,169-acre natural area in Lewis County on the Western Highland Rim. Dry Branch supports the largest population of Tennessee yellow-eyed grass (Xyris tennesseensis) known in Tennessee, which is both a federally endangered species and one of the rarest plants in the state.
Dunbar Cave	Montgomery	Dunbar Cave is a 115-acre natural area in Montgomery County. Its significant feature is a well-explored scenic and historic cave which above ground is surrounded by an upland hardwood forest.
John Noel at Bon Aqua	Hickman	John Noel State Natural Area at Bon Aqua is a 35-acre area located in Hickman County. It supports a small remnant forest that has old growth forest characteristics. The forest has a diversity of species including towering white oak trees with extraordinarily large diameter trunks.
Langford Branch	Lewis	Langford Branch is a 23-acre natural area in Lewis County. It is significant because of the occurrence of a population of the federally endangered Tennessee yellowed-grass (Xyris tennesseensis), which is found in a small seep on the property.
Montgomery Bell	Dickson	Montgomery Bell is a 600-acre natural area in Dickson County and is comprised of two tracts of high quality oak-hickory forest nested within the 5,000-acre Montgomery Bell State Park. These tracts are noted to provide the best known example of representative oak-hickory forest ecosystems on the Western Highland Rim in Tennessee.
Stillhouse Hollow Falls	Maury	Stillhouse Hollow Falls is a 90-acre state natural area in Maury County. The geology of this region creates scenic natural features such as seeps, flat shale-bottom streams, and waterfalls, both small and large, which help shape the region’s dissected topography.
Taylor Hollow	Sumner	Taylor Hollow is a 173-acre natural area located in Sumner County. It is a botanically rich and biologically diverse area that is one of only a very few areas remaining like this in Middle Tennessee that has been minimally impacted by human activity.
