The PAEMST award is the nation’s highest honor for U.S. K-12 science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers. The awards program is administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) on behalf of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Nashville, TN – Today, the Tennessee Department of Education (department) shared additional details on Tennesseans’ enthusiastic response to the Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS) Program, which launched less than one week ago on May 15. As of Monday, more than 38,000 applications have been submitted statewide. Roughly 50 percent of scholarship applications were from families with a qualified income.

Nashville, TN — Today, the Tennessee Department of Education released the ACT state results and participation rate for the graduating class of 2024. Thanks to efforts by schools and districts to encourage student participation on the ACT, the overall statewide participation rate for the 2024 graduating class was 99 percent. In addition, the state average composite ACT score increased from 19.0 in 2023 to 19.3 in 2024.
