Foster Parent Conference

Conference workshops will be held in a virtual training platform. Registrants will have access to the links to each workshop via email and within Brightspace.

Can multiple people attend training from a single device?

Yes, multiple people may attend workshops using a single device. When attendance is collected, be sure to submit information for all participants viewing the training(s) together. Information about this process will be reviewed during housekeeping at the beginning of each workshop.

All provided workshop materials will be available in DCS Brightspace. Accounts will be created for all conference registrants and communication including individual usernames will be sent ahead of the conference. Check your spam or junk folders for an email from system-noreply@tndcs.brightspace.com for initial account creation emails and password reset emails. If you are unable to login to Brightspace and would like to access these materials before or during the conference, a Conference Help Desk form will be made available closer to the conference weekend.

Certificates will be accessible in Brightspace and will appear under the Awards link found in the navigation bar. Users should see their conference attendance reflected no later than two weeks after the conference.

No, conference attendees are not required to login to Brightspace during the conference; however all foster parents are encouraged to login and become familiar with the system.
