Teaming Up With Local Treatment Facilities To Provide Resources And Assistance

JOHNSON CITY – In honor of National Recovery Month, the Johnson City Day Reporting Center will be holding a Recovery Fair next week.  The facility is collaborating with local treatment programs and organizations to provide access and assistance to addiction treatment resources for those suffering from substance use issues.  The event will also serve as an opportunity for those in attendance to learn about healthy and positive hobbies and activities that support and promote a sober lifestyle. Partnering organizations that will be in attendance include Frontier Health, the Washington County Health Department, the Sullivan County Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Center, Unicoi County Coalition, STEP TN, Grace Fellowship and the Downtown Yoga Center of Johnson City.

“The impact of addiction is felt far beyond the addict. Addiction negatively affects our communities.  That’s why we need to work together as a community to address this issue,” says Suzanne Runion, Clinical Director of the Johnson DRC.  “When we all come together to show those battling addiction that there is help and that recovery is possible, we can make real progress and a true difference; a difference our community will benefit from immensely.”

All justice-involved individuals in the Tri-Cities looking for abstinence-based recovery solutions are encouraged to attend.
