Media Advisory: Release Of Cyntoia Brown

NASHVILLE – Upon her release from the Tennessee Prison for Women this morning, Cyntoia Brown reported to her parole officer and completed the required intake process.  She will now be subject to the terms of her supervision, which are established within the parole certificate until 2029.

All parolees must follow general supervision conditions as well as any special conditions that may be imposed by the Board of Parole.  All parolees receive a risk/needs assessment during the intake process and are assigned a supervision level which determines the frequency and type of officer/parolee interactions.
