TDOC Media Academy Comes To West Tennessee

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction will hold a Media Academy open to members of the press on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Mark Luttrell Transition Center in Memphis.  The Media Academy is an informational session designed to give journalists an in-depth look at the Department of Correction’s operations and its role in advancing public safety. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about TDOC functions and programming from executive leadership, ask questions and tour the Mark Luttrell Transition Center in order to gain a better understanding of the agency and the work of its more than 6,000 dedicated employees.

Please note: No cell phones, cameras or other recording devices will be permitted inside the prison facility in accordance with TDOC policy. Paper will be provided for note-taking along with copies of the presentations.

If you or a member of your organization would like to attend, please RSVP to TDOC.Communications@tn.gov by April 25, 2018. Space is limited and participants will be permitted on a first come, first served basis.
