Orlando, FL - The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is pleased to announce that two Tennessee facilities have received American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation.  The Mark Luttrell Transition Center in Memphis and the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Pikeville both earned ACA’s stamp of approval at the 2018 Winter Conference in Orlando.

Bledsoe County Correctional Complex earned their reaccreditation with a high score of 100% on the mandatory standards and 99.3% on the non-mandatory standards.  According to Warden Darren Settles, “This high score is due to the hard work of BCCX team.  We really are a family that believes that together we can make BCCX the best facility in the state.”

Mark Luttrell Transition Center recently shifted from a female facility to a transition center so this facility was awarded their initial accreditation after achieving a score of 100%.  According to Superintendent Taurean James, “This past year has been full of change for the MLTC team.  Not only did we successfully flip the mission of the facility, this team knocked the audit out of the park.  I couldn’t be prouder to be part of such a dedicated team.”
