TDOC And Community Partners To Hold Offender Career Fair

NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Department of Correction is partnering with local employers and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development to hold a career fair and hiring event for offenders on community supervision in the Nashville area.  Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with more than a dozen potential employers in person as well as visit the Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Mobile American Job Center for assistance with online job searches and application, resume development and educational resources.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumes and any other qualifications or certificates they may have earned.

Reducing recidivism through evidence-based programs and continued support after an offender’s release from prison is part of the Tennessee Department of Correction’s ongoing mission to ensure and enhance public safety.
